20120517 Tilt Shift DSLR test 1 @ 4476
A Tilt Shift test using a Nikon D90 with a Satechi LCD Timer Vertical Battery Grip at Aperture Priority f22 Matrix Metering ISO 200 at 2-second intervals. The image sequence was loaded into QuickTime 7 and saved into a .mov file. QuickTime 10 was then used to encode it to an H.264 .m4v at 24fps 1080p. Three masks were created in Photoshop and saved as PNG files. This was then edited using Final Cut Pro using 4 layers incorporating the masks as Mattes in varying degrees of Defocus and Gaussian Blur. Finally, 3-way Color Correction and a vignette effect was applied by layering an oval video generator.
Q&D 24-hour time-lapse DSLR test
A (not so) quick (and dirty) 24-hour time-lapse test using a Nikon D90 with a Satechi LCD Timer Vertical Battery Grip at Aperture Priority f16 Matrix Metering ISO 640 at 5-minute intervals. The image sequence was loaded into QuickTime 7 and saved into a .mov file. QuickTime 10 was then used to encode it to an H.264 .m4v at 24fps 1080p then edited using iMovie 9 into a 720p H.264 .mov file. A 0.45x wide-angle adapter from eBay was used atop a Nikon 18–200mm lens, hence the heavy chromatic aberration. Sadly today was completely overcast, hopefully the weather cooperates next time.

Pond’s Launch Event iOS Announcement App

From the blog post at beautyforaliving.com:
“Each guest had an iPad, which was to announce what will happen next. Jacqe Yuengtian of Unilever appeared on the iPads every so often to tell us what to do.”
Another article about the Pond’s launch event courtesy of The Philippine Star:
“And then the iPad rang. It was a video message from Pond’s brand manager for the Philippines Jacque Yuengtian (yes, à la “Tyra Mail”) telling us to get ready for the festivities that were going to happen that day.”
